\'\'Strong family – support of society\'\' contest held among the workers of print media in accordance with the execution of paragraph 85 of the State program Year of Family, approved by the resolution of President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov on 27 February 2012 took place at Tashkent House of Photography.

The event was organized by Uzbekistan National News Agency (UzA) together with the Council of Trade Unions Federation, Republican Charity fund \"Mahalla\", Arts Academy of Uzbekistan, Agency for Press and Information and Creative Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan.

On this occasion, photo exhibition and awarding of the winners and prize-winners of the contest was held at Tashkent House of Photography.

Opening the event, General Director of Uzbekistan National News Agency M.Hazratqulov, chairman of the Trade Unions Federation T.Norboyeva, chairman of the board of Charity fund \"Mahalla\" A.Ahmedov, chairman of the Creative Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan Sh.G’ulomov and others noted that under the direction of President Islam Karimov, a special attention in Uzbekistan is paid to the further strengthening and development of institution of the family, support of young families, strengthen the role of family and mahalla in upbringing of physically healthy, spiritually mature and harmoniously developed generation.

More than eight hundred articles and photos were presented at the exhibition on fostering in the hearts of our fellow citizens, especially young people, feelings of love and loyalty to the family – the support of society, as well as bringing to the public, the essence and importance of the successes in strengthening families made in our country during the years of independence, large-scale works conducted in this direction, covering the value of the State program Year of Family.

The winners and prize-winners were awarded with special diplomas and cash prizes.
