The IV International Competition of Contemporary Choreography and Sports Plastique started in the capital.

Along with the youth of our country, representatives of foreign countries are also attending the event, organized by the Forum of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan Foundation, Forum Junior Sport centre, Children\'s Sports Development Fund under the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan.

The works, carried out under the leadership of President Islam Karimov on the comprehensive upbringing of the young generation are yielding significant results. This is reflected in the development of children\'s sports, attraction of boys and girls in physical training and mass sports.

The Forum of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan Foundation pays special attention to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people, promotion of sports among students. One of the pilot projects in this area is the International Competition of Contemporary Choreography and Sports Plastique.

This year more than 700 talented children from our country and foreign countries are taking part in the contest. They demonstrate their skills in traditional sports, ball, national, freestyle dances, acrobatics and gymnastics.

On the first day of the event Tashkent City qualification round in these categories was held. The technology and plastique of performance, artistic and choreographic aspects, and harmony of music, costumes and choreography were given special attention.

A series of competitions, photo exhibitions, master classes are envisaged to take place during the competition. Cyclists, skaters, skateboarders will also compete during these events. (Source: UzA news agency)
