Enterprises of Uzstroymateriali (Uzbek Construction Materials) produced industrial goods and consumer products for 1.12 trillion soums (official exchange rate 1 USD= 1960,00 UZS) in nine months of 2012, which grew by 6.2% year-on-year, representative of Uztsroymateriali Ahmadjon Hodjakulov said.

He said that the company increased production of roofing slate by 36%, construction gypsum – by 23.7%, ceramic tiles – 6.4%, absorbent cotton – 4.6%, dry construction mixtures – 108%, and glass products – 10%.

Uzbekistan possesses rich mineral-raw resource bases for construction materials industry. The country has over revealed 500 raw materials fields. Uzbekistan is holding one of leading states in Central Asian on raw materials reserves.

According to targeted part of investment programme for 2012, some US$9.4 million were used in January-September 2012 (forecast was fulfilled with 31.1% surplus).

In nine months of 2012, the volume of exports made up US$54.88 million, or forecast was implemented with 7.9% surplus or rose by 4% year-on-year.

In January-September 2012, the enterprises of the industry produced 25 types of goods for 172.9 billion soums within the localization programme (forecast was fulfilled with 22% surplus). (Source: UzDaily.com)
