The delegation of business circles of Germany led by State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Labor Dr Bernd Pfaffenbach will visit Uzbekistan on 4-9 April.

Within the visit, Uzbek official and German delegation will hold high level negotiations on Uzbek-German economic relations and discuss development of bilateral trades, as well as joint projects.

Germany is the fourth largest supplier to Uzbekistan, as well as one of the largest economic partners of country in European Union. Trade turnover between countries made up US$285 million in 2004.

It is planned that economic forum between Uzbek and German business circles and contact exchange will be held on 5 April within the visit. The session of the economic commission and Uzbek0Geran trade and investment work group will be held.

It is also expected that Dr Pfaffenbach will meet Uzbek Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyayev, First Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Rustam Azimov, as well as other senior Uzbek officials.
