Days of the Chinese culture in Uzbekistan
The Days of Culture of the People\'s Republic of China started in our country. The event, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and China, is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Embassy of China in our country.
Representatives of ministries and agencies, public organizations, the diplomatic corps, accredited in our country, Chinese art workers took part in the opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of the People\'s Republic of China at the Palace of \"Turkistan\".
Minister of Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan T. Kuziev and others emphasized that cooperation between Uzbekistan and China, is developing along with other areas in culture, an important legal basis of which are the agreements reached during meetings of the heads of the two states. The official visit of President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to China in June this year enriched the relations between the two countries with new content and serves as an important factor for their further expansion.
The Days of Culture of China was opened with a concert by Chinese performers. Classic Chinese tunes, modern music and dance aroused great interest among the spectators.
- Both China and Uzbekistan have rich history and culture, - said Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People\'s Republic of China in our country Zhang Xiao. - After establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, cooperation in trade, economic, social and political spheres, as well as in the field of culture is dynamically ehnancing. China successfully hosted the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan in 2011. This forum, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and China, is expected to promote not only cultural ties, but also our strategic partnership.
Within the frameworks of the event, an exhibition of works by contemporary Chinese artists opened at the Uzbek Culture and Arts museum. The exhibition presents paintings, reflecting the culture, traditions and customs, values and way of life of the Chinese people. (Source: UzA news agency)
