According to the database of the Unified State register of enterprisers and organizations as for October 1, 2012, the number of registered subjects of small business (excluding farms) was 249 915.

In January-September 2012, 18 395 subjects of small business were created, including 11 911 (64.8%) in production spheres (including 4 350 – in industry), 6 484 (35.2%) – in non production spheres of (services) economy, the information service of the State Committee on Statistics informs.

As a result of measures taken by the government of the Republic on the full support for small business, its share in the major sectors of the economy has a tendency to grow. In particular, according to the results of 9 months of the current year the share of small business subjects amounted to: in GDP – 51.0% (in January-September 2011 – 50.5%), in industry – 21.4% (20.7%), investment – 35.2% (30.2%), in construction – 71.8% (70.4%), in retail turnover – 45.2% (46.6%), in paid services – 43.5% (45.3%), in the employment of the population – 75.5% (74.9%), in export – 15.5% (of 15.3%).(Source: UzReport.com)
