COUNCIL OF SCO RATS HOLD SESSION IN TASHKENT
Council of Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO RATS) was held in Tashkent on 30 March.
Representative of Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan participated in the work of council, UzA reported.
Considering situation within the SCO, the council said that terrorism, separatism and extremism remain threat to stability and security of the member states.
The council said it will increase and strengthen anti-terrorism potential of member countries and undertake joint measures to fight terrorism, separatism and extremism.
The council adopted several decisions on activity of SCO RATS and further formation of legal base of cooperation of the SCO member countries in terrorism, separatism and extremism.
The sides agreed to hold next session of the SCO RATS in Tashkent in the first half of September 2005.
