President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov held a telephone conversation with the acting President and Prime Minister of Kyrgyz Republic Kurmanbek Bakiyev on 28 March, UzA reported.

The sides discussed developments of last days and weeks in Kyrgyzstan, the report said.

It said that the sides underlined similar vies on assessment of reasons and factors of mass demonstrations and overtake of power.

It was noted that all necessary and possible opportunities should be mobilized and used to solve existing problems within law and constitution.

The sides agreed to cooperation in solving important tasks of Kyrgyz Republic.
