US Agency for International Development (USAID) issued US$13 million for five year project on control over HIV/AIDS in Uzbekistan. The project entitled CAPACITY was presented on 29 March.

The project will be directed to strengthen technical potential of Uzbekistan in fight against HIV/AIDS, as well as development of local organizations and networks on control over these deceases.

The project will activate efforts of local organizations in effective use of donors? funds, earmarked to fight HIV/AIDS. Currently, Uzbekistan received support from the USA, Global Fund, World Bank and the UK.
