Uzbek-Japanese Friendship Festival Held at State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan
The Uzbek-Japanese friendship festival devoted to the 21st anniversary of the independence of our country was held at the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan. Art historians, composers, teachers of higher educational institutions, pupils of music and art schools took part in it.

Minister of Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan T.Kuziyev and others noted that Uzbekistan has attached prominent importance to further enhance the international prestige of our country, establishment of a wide mutually beneficial economic and cultural cooperation with many countries. These aspects are reflected in the cultural relations between Uzbekistan and Japan.

In the country of the rising sun, it has become a good tradition to hold exhibitions on such themes like “Photo of Uzbekistan”, “On the crossroads of the Great Silk Road”, various educational conferences, Days of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan and concerts. Japanese artists are active participants of various exhibitions and biennials held in our country.

A concert program in which Japanese musicians and singers performed songs and melodies, singing of Uzbekistan, friendship and solidarity was held at the celebration of friendship. An exhibition of works by Japanese photographers also took place in the framework of the event. (Source: UzA news agency)
