Uzbek Films to Take Part in the XXX World Festival of Sport Movies & TV
VII International qualifying festival Sport Movies & TV has come to an end in Tashkent.

The international qualifying festival has been organized by the International Sport Movie and TV Federation, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan, the National Olympic Committee and the Fund “Forum of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan”.

More than 60 documentary and television films, reportages and feature stories, TV commercials made by movie and TV masters of Uzbekistan and about 20 countries around the world such as USA, UK, Russia, Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Turkey, Australia, China and India. 30 of presented works were chosen at the festival.

Our country has participated in the festival with documentary films of TV channel “Sport” of the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan, State Unitary Enterprise Uzbektelefilm, National Agency Uzbekkino, as well as private TV channels and movie studios.

The film “G‘alaba sari yo‘l” (Path to Victory) about the triple Olympic champion Artur Taymazov made by the Uzbektelefilm cameraman Anvar Avazkhodjaev, became the winner in the nomination of “The Olympic Games – Olympic spirit”.

Film “Matonat” (Courage) made by the Film Studio of popular scientific and documentary films of the National Agency Uzbekkino, “Sport bilan birga” (Together with the sport) of Bunyodkor TV Club at the Public Youth Movement Kamolot, the film “Sport malikasi” (Queen of Sports) by the students of television technologies faculty of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies are also among the winners of the festival.

Documentary films presented by French and Italian authors won in the nomination of Best Foreign Film.

Documentaries that won at the international qualifying festival will be presented at the XXX World Festival of Sport Movies & TV to be held in Milan in December this year. (Source: UzA news agency)
