Triumph of the Uzbek Author: A new work in contemporary literature
The Ozod (Free) novel of the writer Isajon Sulton, published in the Sharq Yulduzi (Star of the East) magazine, has been found the best prose work at the contest, organized by the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan. The novel reveals the pressing issues of the present that evoke keen interest in the wider reading public.

The work of Isajon Sulton addresses the spiritual development of the individual, inner harmony that elevates a man. Personal improvement and emotional experiences along with interesting plot make this book varied and exciting.

“In this chaotic developed world, where passion and self-interest of various masses dominate, only a man filled with sincere love could be considered the saint and unique phenomenon,” reckons Isajon Sulton. Native of Rishton district, Farghona region, the author of the novel Ozod belongs to the younger generation of writers of 90s of the 20th century.

Despite this, Isajon Sulton has already gained a number of achievements at the national and international level, his talent has been worthily estimated in various contests and artistic competitions. For example, last year, his short story The Fish was announced the winner of the literary contest of the Chicago Lexicon magazine, which was represented with the best works of writers and poets from Australia, Germany, Israel, USA, Russia, Turkey and other countries. In addition, the writer has participated in various international literary competitions, including Literary Vienna (Austria), Organic Prose (Russia), The Gifts of the Magi (USA), and many others.

Isajon Sulton got higher education in the journalism department of the Tashkent State University. At that period, his first works were published: the novel Entreaty in 1990, The Moon Spring in 1995, and in 2011 the third collection of the author Eternal Wanderer was published.

In 1997, Isajon Sulton joined the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan. Since then, his numerous stories have been publishing in various literary magazines of the country, as well as abroad. And his works as The Spring Moon and The Cup on the Water, included in the Anthology of Uzbek Story of the 20th Century. (Source: Uzbekistan Today newspaper)
