A graduate of the Ostrovsky Tashkent Institute of Theater and Arts (currently the Kamoliddin Behzod National Institute of Arts and Design), Shahnoza Muminova immediately plunged into artistic activity by creating interesting compositions, participating in various republican and international exhibitions, and earning ranks and making triumphs. At the same time she got involved in teaching.
Graduate of the Institute Shahnoza Muminova could boast not only her skills in easel painting, but in ceramic art, which she learned in both faculties. Later, her skills she decided to use in new material – porcelain, discovering the material’s amazing properties. Thus, Shahnoza Muminova was the first in Uzbekistan who gave the porcelain artistic finish. She demonstrated that this material was not only of household purpose, but of special value in the art.
Porcelain turned more complicated and fanciful material despite of ceramic clay. Being firm and fragile at the same time, it requires much effort as like the jeweler’s work. Though, in hands of Shahnoza Muminova the porcelain mixture with striking lightness turned in fine articles, graceful figurines, in short, genuine artworks.
All works of Shahnoza Muminova are inimitable and unique, and all details of them are thoroughly worked out that make even better expressing creative ideas and characters of the porcelain products. Major of them embody national customs and traditions, as well as pearls of the Uzbek folklore.
