Water Supply Gets Improved in Regions
Two modern water supply facilities with a capacity of 500 cubic meters each have been commissioned in Beruni district. As a result, about two thousand inhabitants of villages got improved drinking water supply.
Drinking water supply work in the villages is carried our in accordance with the plan, said Jalgas Uzakov, manager building trust Korakalpok Qishloq Hujalik Suv Tarmoklari. “In particular, in the first half of this year we were laid nine and a half kilometers of water supply line, construction works have already amounted at about 360 million soums. As a result, we have improved drinking water supply to inhabitants of the city of Nukus, as well as Amudaryo, Beruni and Turtkul districts. Today, about half a million residents of 502 villages of the Aral Sea regions are connected to centralized water supply system.”
In order to provide drinking water to residents of new houses built on the basis of model projects, builders performed works worth about 1.2 billion soums. In particular, they laid 35.5 km of water pipes, over 5,600 people have been provided with drinking water. In order to improve the water supply of homes, this year it is planned to provide water in12 villages worth 3.8 billion soums, to restore the 15.1 km of water pipes, dig wells fifteen and install more than forty water pumps.
