Uzbekistan created 510,500 jobs in 1H
Uzbekistan created 510,500 new jobs in the first half of 2012 within the programme on creation of workplaces, a statement of the Ministry of Economy and the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
According to the statement, 325,000 of them or 67.6% were created in rural areas, including 62,700 jobs were founded in labour-surplus districts.
Within the implementation of complex measures on ensuring employment of graduates for 2011-2012 academic year, some 501,500 graduates of colleges were provided jobs for 92,900 enterprises and organizations. Some 97,300 graduates signed agreement on internship at the enterprises. (Source: UzDaily.com)
