Islom Bahromov Becomes Asian Champion in Greco-Roman Wrestling
Athletes of Uzbekistan were awarded with one gold and seven bronze medals at the Asian Championship in freestyle, Greco-Roman and women’s wrestling among cadets.
Nearly 250 athletes from more than ten countries of the continent fought for the victory at the championship held in Kyrgyzstan, which is included in series competitions of the International Wrestling Federation.
In competitions of Greco-Roman wrestling, Islom Bahromov defeated the representatives of Chinese Taipei, Tajikistan, South Korea and was awarded with the title of Asian champion.
The third place, in Greco-Roman wrestling competitions was taken by Mirzobek Rahmonov, Aram Vardanyan, in freestyle wrestling Azamat Ruzmetov, Sirojiddin Hasanov, Feruzbek Ahmedov, in women’s wrestling Zuhra Otamurodova and Aziz Mushtokova. (Source: UzA news agency)
