Uzbekistan introduces 12 new projects to localization programme
The Government of Uzbekistan introduced 12 new projects to its progamme on localization of production of ready products, spare parts and materials, export-oriented and import-replacing products for 2012.
The decision was adopted in order to stimulate production of export-oriented and import-replacing localized goods.
In particular, new projects on production of barium sulfate concentrate, fiber from used polyethylene terephthalate bottles, fittings from polypropylene, components for cars, etc.
Banner Print JV LLC will launch production of components for automobiles, manufactured at GM Uzbekistan in Asaka city of Uzbekistan.
The enterprise will organize production of logotypes and inscriptions for automobiles of GM Uzbekistan. The plant will produce 770,000 units of products for 4.042 billion soums (official exchange rate 1 USD=1892,59 UZS) in 2012.
Within the second project, Banner Print will open capacities on production of hoods for automobiles of GM Uzbekistan. The enterprise will produce goods for 1.478 billion soums.
Alnazar Orzu Servis LLC will open a new line on production of fiber from the used PET bottles in Samarkand region.
It is expected that the enterprise will produce 3,000 tonnes of fiber from used PET worth 5.4 billion soums in 2012.
Six projects will be implemented in Tashkent city, three in Samarkand region and one in Tashkent and Bukhara regions each. (Source: UzDaily.com)
