Tashkent Hosted the Fifth Session of Uzbek-German Intergovernmental Commission
Tashkent hosted the fifth session of the Uzbek-German Intergovernmental Commission on the issues of the Germans living in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The representatives of ministries and departments of the two countries responsible for internal and foreign affairs, culture and sports, labor and social protection took part in the event organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Federal Republic of Germany.
At the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, co-chairman of the intergovernmental commission Mirkomil Mirfayziyev stressed that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany is developing in many spheres, an important legal basis of which served the arrangements reached during meetings of heads of the two states.
Friendship societies “Uzbekistan-Germany” operating in our country, “Germany-Uzbekistan” in Germany, the German Cultural Center “Wiedergeburt” in Tashkent are making a worthy contribution to further development of friendship, cultural and educational ties between our peoples.
At the meeting, the sides discussed the issues relating with the full support of the Germans living in Uzbekistan, the further development of cultural, educational, medical and social centers as well as mutual cultural, scientific, educational and technical ties. (Source: UzA news agency)
