Small business account 39.9% of Uzbekistan’s GDP
In January-March 2012, the share of small business in the total volume of Uzbekistan’s GDP was 39.9%, which is 0.9 percentage points more than in January-March 2011, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
The committee said that the share of small businesses in industrial output of Uzbekistan made up 20.4% in January-March, construction works – 76.9%, retail trade turnover – 47.6% and paid services – 39.1%.
Small businesses of Namangan (66.5%), Samarkand (65.1%) and Khorezm (58.1%) regions had the highest share of small businesses in gross regional products (GRP).
Samarkand (48.3%), Jizzakh (46.5%) and Namangan (41.2%) regions became leaders on the share of small businesses in industrial output. (Source: UzDaily.com)
