Enterprises of Uzbekyengilsanoat state joint stock company (Uzbekistan Light Industry) exported products for over US$210.5 million in January-April 2012.

Goods were delivered to over 40 countries of the world. The measures adopted to expand export relations as presentation of products were held in China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brazil, Spain, France and Italy.

Uzbekyengilsanoat said that its enterprises produced goods for over 3.5 trillion soums (official exchange rate 1 USD= 1878,06 UZS) and consumer goods worth 824 billion soums in past period of 2012. Enterprises of light industry launched production of 36 new goods – ready fabrics, garments, hosiery, etc.

It was said that Uzbekistan attracted US$345.6 million of foreign investments in 2009-2011 and some 70 enterprises were launched due to this resources.

In 2012, it is planned to commission 20 new objects, which will create 2,000 new jobs. (Source: UzDaily.com)
