Specialists of the South Korean company AUSTEM completed the commissioning of a new robotic shop at the premises of Chirchikselmash. Testing has begun after specialists from South Korea prepare the personnel working on the equipment of new generation.

Since August 1, begins mass production of two units for Lacetti - the front beam (A1-FRT SUSP LHD1.8) and back beam (A1-REAR SUSP 1.8).

As acting Chairman of the Board of Chirchikselmash Zakirjan Abdualimov informed in the 4th quarter of 2012 it is planned to produce 10-12 thousand parts at the main assembly line, the target for 2013 is 24,000 with the prospect of increasing it to 36,000 parts by 2015. Estimated project cost is $4.1 million, including 2 billion soums (official exchange rate 1 USD= 1874,85 UZS) of own funds.

In 2014 Chirchikselmash plans to produce spare parts for Lacetti car worth 11.5 - 12 billion soums, he concluded.

According to JSC Uzavtosanoat, the level of localization by all models of the company voiced in the first phase of the 4th International Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange exceeded 50%. Twenty joint ventures localized production of bumpers, seats, paint products, fuel tanks, harnesses, glass, etc. Of 98 suppliers of components and car parts to the head plant in Asaka, 76 are small business entities and private entrepreneurs.
