As a result of friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Thailand, artists, masters of photography and sports of the two countries successfully participate in the ongoing international festivals, art weeks, international biennials and major sporting events.

Tours of artistic groups, masters of culture and art of Uzbekistan are being organized in Thailand and Thai artists are also actively involved in the international music festival Sharq Taronalari.

Conducting of a series of joint cultural events shows the gradual development of bilateral cultural and humanitarian ties. In particular, the exhibition of “Poem about Uzbekistan” by the Queen of Thailand in October 2010, exhibition of pictures by the King of Thailand in September 2011 and prize-winners of international FotograNic in photography Phumipon Aduj’jadet – Rama IX were organized in Uzbekistan. Last year in September, Muaythai World Championship was held in Tashkent for the first time outside of Thailand, the birthplace of this type of sport, which clearly demonstrates our effective cooperation in the field of sports.

It should be noted that a number of activities, in particular, Uzbekistan Culture Days were held in Thailand in connection with the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between our two countries. In their framework, an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in culture and sports was signed between Uzbekistan and the Kingdom of Thailand.

Thailand Culture Days, which was held in our capital serves to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries. An exhibition of works of Thai artists, the presentation of the Thai wrestling – muaythai and muayboran, as well as national dishes were carried out in Tashkent House of Photography. These events will allow to look closer at the life and history of the Thai nation, its customs and traditions.
