Uzbekistan is planning to spend 654 billion soums (official exchange rate 1 USD= 1868,65 UZS) and US$159.04 million to construction and reconstruction of automobile roads in 2012, the Republican Road Fund under the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan said.

In particular, Republican Road Fund will direct 654 billion soums to these works. Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan will issue US$68.3 million and international financial institutions – US$90.74 million.

In 2012, it is planned to construct and reconstruct 517 km of four-lane automobile roads in Uzbekistan.

It is planned to construct 165 km of roads with concrete pavement and 352 km of automobile roads with asphalt-concrete pavement. (Source: UzDaily.com)
