This summer there will be created all conditions for every schoolchild to be able to spend their vacations interestingly and in good use, Ravshan Ergashev, specialist at the Ministry of Public Education, noted during an interview.

It is from my childhood I associate summer with holidays in some out-of-town recreation camps…

“I think it is associated by major of people. Otherwise, how it could be explained that almost all tickets have already been procured. It is planed that this year 217 out-of-town camps of the republic will receive more than 260 000 children. Children are expected to recreate in ecological, picturesque sides of the country with eventful entertaining, educative and health-improving programs.

Over eleven thousand teachers are to be involved in the work of the camps. By the way, camps are almost ready to welcome children. Educators and tutors are undertaking preparation courses, premises are getting arranged after winter, as well as library funds of camps replenished and all necessary things delivered.

Special attention is given to organize appropriate vacations for inmates of Mehribonlik orphanages. All of them would spend three summer months in out-of-town camps.”

Last year to the initiative of the Ministry of Public Education there were organized recreation camps of intellectual development.

What about it this year?

“Of course, it will be organized this year as well. In Tashkent region will be operated a republican camp for winners of completion round of the contest Knowledge Competitions, while in regions there will be organized similar camps for all those won in regional rounds of the contest. This kind of camps are differed from ordinary ones with their programs sated with various master classes and meetings with leading professors from higher education institutions and research centers of the Academy of Sciences, authors of textbooks and teaching aids.”

What interesting should expect children who will attend camps to their places of residence?

“For them we will organize in-school recreation camps. If last year we had 596 of such camps, then due to growing popularity of them, this year their number is to be increased to 661. 602 camps will operate at schools, while the rest at professional colleges. Children will have entertaining-educative and health-improving program, the same as for those in out-of-town camps. The only difference is that camps are of daytime.

Besides, experienced tutors and trainers will expect children in all Barkamol Avlod Children’s Creativity Centers around the country, youth sports schools, as well as general schools’ sport grounds. It is planed that during summer vacations for children attending camps to places of residence will be organized 4 359 hobby clubs and 2 013 study groups on various types of creativity and sports. The traditional program of children’s sports competitions Summer Vacations gets its start as well. The action, organized by the Children’s Sport Development Fund, could be participated by all willing.
