The Central Exhibition Hall of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan in connection with the International Day of Museums – May 18 have organized the exhibition on the theme of “Our Heritage. Masters of Arts of Uzbekistan.”

At the opening, the chairman of the Uzbek Academy of Arts A.Nuriddinov, Deputy Minister for Culture and Sport B.Ahmedov and others noted that in our country a special attention is paid to the organization of museums in accordance with modern requirements and improvement of young people’s spirituality, their artistic and aesthetic education. The law “On Museums” is an important legal basis for ongoing expansion in this direction.

The best works of painters, sculptors, craftsmen and artisans who have made a great contribution to the development of national fine and applied arts, today became our invaluable spiritual wealth. They are an important source of valuable information about the stages of development of our art, creative process, artists’ life and work.

The exhibition held during the project “Our Heritage” of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, has incorporated the works of the Foundation of the Directorate of Art Exhibitions. (Source: UzA news agency)
