Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Afghanistan and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan Ján Kubiš was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The parties exchanged views on international and regional issues. In discussions related to Afghanistan, it was noted that Uzbekistan provides considerable assistance to the neighboring country in its social-economic reconstruction efforts.
