Zomin Welcomes Tourists
Large-scale energetic reforms ongoing in Uzbekistan in the development of tourism infrastructure are yielding their positive results.

The implementation of regional programs to encourage international and domestic tourism, development of new tourist routes, rebuilding and construction of tourist facilities, development of transport communications serve for perfection of the sphere, establishing new jobs and growth of tourists’ inflow.

These aspects were marked in the course of the round table held in Tashkent dedicated to the tourist potential of Zomin district of Jizzakh region.

It was attended by the representatives of health resorts management of the Trade Unions Federation, representative office of the UN Development Program in Uzbekistan and a number of travel agencies, companies, as well as the media.

Zomin is well-known with its unique nature, pine thickets, salubrious air and there are such sanatoriums and boarding houses like O‘riklisoy, Sharshara, etc.

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Jizzakh regional authority and the UN Development Program’s project “Support of local governance system: civic participation and cooperation” carrying out a joint work in order to use the rich potential and chances of the area effectively.

The expansion of tourism in the area will serve for the preservation of natural and cultural heritage, for the growth of family income and creating new jobs.(Source: UzA News Agency)
