Introducing Professor Nizomov
Doctor of Physics and Mathematics at Samarqand State University has been included in the list of Top 100 Engineers 2012.
Negmat Nizomovich Nizomov is familiar to Uzbekistan Today audience with his interviews on academic and pedagogical subject matter. Recently, the International Biographical Center has informed that he is entered the world honorary list of Top 100 Engineers 2012. And, this turned the ground for to learn in detail his biography and achievements.
Honorary Professor at the Samarqand State University tells about himself modestly. Therefore we had to address his colleagues and students. At their turn, we were recommended to look through some books including the Samarqand editions Science Toilers, Samarqand Scientific Schools: Molecular Luminescence School and Its Founders, Ukrainian editions Story on Lightning Bugs, Recollections and published in 2010 American and British bibliographic reference books Who Is Who and 2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century.
Practically whole life of Negmat Nizomov is linked with the Samarqand State University. He studied four years, and after passing a contest was transferred to the Moscow State University, where he continued his education. Materials from his diploma and Candidate’s theses were published in New York Magazine of applied spectroscopy and included the collection Golden Fund of Physical Science. He returned the university in 1969 and still working there.
Within a short period of time after returning he organized in the university the laboratory of molecular luminescence and photochemistry that became the forge not only for solving topical issued, but training young qualified specialists.
In his monograph Luminescence of Associated Molecules in Solutions and Films the scholar for the first time classified the process of molecular association of complex organic molecules on their spectroscopic manifestations, and he also constituted a link between the structure of associated molecules and their luminescent powers. Since 1970 the scholar is the constant participant of international and national research works.
Negmat Nizomov is the author of ten major scientific developments, part of which has been demonstrated at the international exhibition EXPO 2000 in Hanover, Germany. Among the interesting developments: new nonsilver materials, ionizing radiation dosimeters, ways of receiving fade-proof polymer materials, identification of oxygen in gas, luminescent technology of identifying pesticides in blood, express-method of identification of gossypolum in cottonseed oil.
To students Professor is always more than just a tutor. Under his supervision there have been prepared and defended Doctor’s and nineteen Candidate’s theses, and two more in the line. Eight students prepared and defended candidate’s theses at which Professor Nizomov acted the scientific counselor. He was the head of student scientific society on natural sciences, head of the city and regional councils of young scholars. Today, Professor is the deputy head of the United Specialized Council for Defense of Doctor’s and Candidate’s Theses on specialty Optics, Laser Physics, Molecular Physics and Physics of Magnetic Phenomena, member of the Council Luminescence and Its Application in National Economy of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
At his 72 Negmat Nizomov still works at the Samarqand State University, reviews articles for such international magazines as Applied Spectroscopy (Belarus), Molecular Structure (Holland), Coloring Agents and Pigments (England), acts as an expert and member of jury of various scientific contests.(Source: Uzbekistan Today Newspaper)
