Uzbekistan will be holding national exhibitions in foreign countries on an annual basis, and support Uzbek business participation in international fairs abroad.

Such decree has been adopted by the government of Uzbekistan. In accordance with the document, there will be a special interagency working group to help local businesses in the organization of exhibitions and fairs abroad, promotion of export potential and signing of export contracts.

First of all, the new working group will coordinate activities associated with the organization and conduct of high-level national trade fairs in foreign countries with a wide participation of Uzbek suppliers of competitive products for foreign markets.

Another important area of activity will be assistance to domestic business entities, especially small businesses and private entrepreneurship, in training and participation in international fairs and exhibitions abroad, organization of the exhibitions, presentations of investment, production and export potential of industries and conclusion of export contracts.

A special place will be given to improving the effectiveness of exhibitions and fairs of domestic businesses abroad, including through extensive use of modern information technology.

Experts say, in the present circumstances, the working group will be promoting Uzbek brands in international trade fairs as leading manufacturers and exporters of high quality and competitive products. (Source: Uzbekistan Today Newspaper)
