German Science Days Held in Tashkent
Tashkent hosted the seminar Days of German Science in Uzbekistan.
The event was organized by Coordinating Committee for Science and Technology Development under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, German Embassy in Uzbekistan. It was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of the two countries, international Organizations and research institutes, professors, academics, experts, scholars and professionals.
At the seminar, Sh.Salihov, the chairman of the Coordinating Committee for Science and Technology Development under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan stressed the gradual development of ties between Uzbekistan and Germany in all fields, particularly in the field of science.
In our country, under the leadership of President Islam Karimov a special attention paid to the acceleration of scientific progress, ensuring the integration of education, science and industry, development of advanced technologies. International cooperation is an important tool on further enhancing the effectiveness of the work in this field.
Cooperation between the higher education institutions, research institutes of both countries is dynamically developing.
– For many years we have been effectively cooperating with Uzbekistan in the sphere of science, – said Michael Schlicht, the director of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. We intend to further develop mutual ties with the Uzbek scholars and universities in your country. High results provide large-scale reforms implemented in Uzbekistan to modernize and develop the education system of the country.
At the event, the two sides exchanged views on further developing and strengthening links between scientific institutions of Uzbekistan and Germany, to intensify practical dialogue between scientists of two countries, further improve the mutual exchange of experiences and information, development and implementation of promising joint projects.(Source: UzA News Agency)
