The Republican House of Cinema has hosted the creative conference Uzbek Cinema: Problems and Prospects addressing the results of activity of native actors, directors, scriptwriters and other workers of the modern cinema art within the last year.

The conference attended by high-profile experts in the field of modern cinematography. Participants noted on the achievements gained in 2011, particularly, the motion picture Qo’rghoshin (Lead) of the director Zulfiqor Musoqov was awarded the high prize of Golden Guepard Tashkent International Film Forum, as well as live-action films, essay films, popular-science pictures and cartoons, produced by Uzbekistan’s directors.

During the conference there were heard various speeches and reports, as well as viewing of more than 80 feature films, popular-science films, documentaries and animations shot in 2011. (Source: Uzbekistan Today Newspaper)
