Issues of improving the system of electronic accounting discussed
On March 12, a round table on \"Improvement of reporting by business entities\" was held. The event was attended by representatives of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, ministries, departments, large and small companies, companies of the ICT sector, non-profit non-governmental organizations, the Association of Accountants and auditors and tax consultants.
The event was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The round table included a discussion of issues of simplifying and reducing the cost of putting fiscal and statistical reporting in electronic form.
In 2011, the enterprises of communication and information services have been granted 2.4 trillion soums (Exchange rate of CB 1USD-1835.75 soums) (19.9% increase compared to 2010). As of January 1, 2012 the number of businesses for data transmission, including those providing Internet connection services, has reached 945, and the total number of multi access points was 1,053.
The number of Internet users last year reached 8.8 million. The cost of Internet channels for operators and service providers has been reduced by 2.9 times. The number of broadband Internet access has reached 147.76 thousand. The number of domains registered in the .UZ zone exceeded 13.4 thousand.
During the round table the results of electronic document management system and its introduction into practice were also announced. In particular, there are nine centers for registering keys of digital signatures. Today, the number of issued keys and certificates of digital signatures is more than 206,000.
The work to connect 118 state and economic management bodies, state authorities in the field to secure e-mail \"E-Khat\", and electronic document management system \"E-Hujjat\".
According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, by the end of 2011 the number of businesses and organizations producing software amounted to 235. The Agency on Intellectual Property registered 299 software products last year.
\"During the event topical issues of reducing paperwork and saving time were discussed. Now it is not necessarily go to tax and statistical authorities, instead it is enough to connect to the internet, get all the necessary information and submit reports. We try to do everything for business people to ease the procedure of provision of electronic records,\" said Damir Saifullin, head of the development and implementation of software of the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan at the round table.
