February 18, 2016
WITH WHOLEHEARTEDLY TO CHILD
Maternal and child health - the country’s wealth. Taking care of it - means to determine the future path of the people’s well-being.
The fund “Sog‘lom ovlod uchun” makes its contribution to this noble cause, its activities are aimed at ensuring the health of the younger generation, maternal and child health, creation of favorable conditions for physical, intellectual and moral development of children. Its staff actively cooperates with international organizations to implement joint humanitarian programs, including treatment of children from Uzbekistan in the best clinics in the world.
For example, in 2002 the Fund in tandem with the Ministry of Health entered into an agreement with an international organization of Germany «Friedensdorf International», which has for several years been operating in more than 35 countries around the world. Its main task is to provide grant aid in the treatment and rehabilitation of sick children up to 12 years. Through such cooperation for 14 years in Germany were treated more than 300 children from Uzbekistan.
Through grant funds allocated by «Friedensdorf International» for operations for children suffering from congenital maxillofacial defects, but in 2015 166 children have been successfully operated in domestic medical clinics of our country.
Within the framework of the project “Slender legs” on operative treatment of children under the age of 15 with congenital clubfoot and correction of the cervical vertebrae, 226 children were operated in the past year.
This year’s “Sog‘lom ovlod uchun” charity event continues to improve the health of children with disabilities and children from low-income families. So, yesterday in the framework of «Friedensdorf International» international organization’s program, 11 needing specialized medical care children from different regions of the country were sent to a German clinic for surgical treatment.
And in just a few days another group of children will return home, who have already received appropriate treatment in German hospitals. In March, arrival of doctors from the «Friedensdorf International» is expected. It means that they not only examine the children in need of assistance, but will select those with a particularly complex case to take them for treatment in Germany in August. The fund is a vivid example of what is valuable, every child in our country, every effort is made to the growing healthy and happy generation.
