“QUALITY OF MEDICAL CARE AND EQUIPMENT IN UZBEKISTAN IS NOT INFERIOR TO EUROPEAN STANDARDS”
Uzbekistan’s correct choice of health system development strategy today provides tangible results that are objectively assessed by the international community, and, in the opinion of authoritative experts, serve as an example for other countries in the world.
Uzbekistan’s activity in the framework of achieving the Millennium Development Goals is effective, as well as measures, carried out in the country, on the rise of health care at even higher level of quality which meet Millennium sustainable development goals of, adopted at the UN Summit, are the subject of special attention by specialists abroad.
In particular, according to Professor Henri Bismuth, director of Hepatobiliary Institute in Paris, impressive results to protect public health, improve the level of quality of medical services, strengthen the material-technical base of medical institutions have been achieved during the years of independent development of our country.
“The Uzbek experience is very interesting and can serve as a model for many, including developed countries, - he stressed. – A unique single system that provides a highly free emergency medical care in the country deserves special attention, as well as the work of the Republican specialized scientific-practical medical centers based on scientific schools”.
The French expert said that the announcement of 2016 in Uzbekistan the “Year of healthy mother and child” demonstrates the foresight of the country\'s policy in the formation of harmoniously developed healthy generation, maintaining and improving the gene pool of the nation, ensuring the future progress of the state.
“As a member of the International of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association’s Congress for surgery and transplantation, held in September, 2015, Tashkent, I was able to witness how rapidly evolving medical field - the level and quality of care and equipment is not inferior to European standards, doctors are highly professional and potential - the professor said. - I am truly delighted with these achievements, and I am glad that we are currently actively cooperate with Uzbek colleagues, in particular with the Republican Specialized Surgery Center named after academician V.Vahidov. Uzbek specialists undergo training in the French medical institutions and exchange experiences with their European counterparts through this partnership. So, in January of this year, experts of your country successfully completed a special course on the treatment of acute and chronic liver diseases during a three-month internship, held at Paul Brousse Hospital University in Villejuif, including viral hepatitis, transplantation of the organ, as well as the organization and conducting various operations in hepatology.
We are committed to continue the mutually beneficial cooperation, which will serve for the good health of citizens in our countries”.
