20 CHILDREN FROM UZBEKISTAN WITH CONGENITAL HEART DISEASE TO BE OPERATED IN THE NEXT SIX MONTHS FOR FREE
The international non-governmental charitable foundation \"Sog\'lom avlod uchun\" (For the Healthy Generation) continues to implement the State program to further strengthen reproductive health, maternal, child and adolescent health in Uzbekistan for the period of 2014-2018, approved by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on August 1, 2014. In the framework of a number of projects for the treatment of sick children from poor families in the leading foreign and local clinics. Particular attention is paid to such serious diseases such as heart disease, complications of skin burns, congenital disease of the joints of hands and feet.
Work conducted by the Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan and the international organization Friedensdorf International (Germany) in this direction is already yielding tangible results. So, the children of our country with the above diagnoses have undergone free medical treatment in the hospitals of the universities of Inha and Cha in the Republic of Korea.
In addition, as the Deputy Chairman of MNBF \"Sog\'lom avlod uchun\" Nozimjon Muminov noted in an interview with Jahon I.A., last autumn they signed a cooperation agreement with the Indian hospital Artemis Medicare Services Limited to provide a series of operations for children with severe congenital heart disease. As a result, today the 5 children fully recovered from a severe illness because of the skilled surgery and successful rehabilitation.
In the next six months another 20 children will be operated - about one-fifth of the total number of registered fund patients. As N.Muminov said, efforts in this direction to be continued in the long term - to assist those in need. In addition, he said that they plan to launch a new project to provide low-income families with sick children oxygenators (gas exchange device for oxygen saturation and carbon dioxide removal from it).
