The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington, DC, organized a grand reception dedicated to celebrating the 21st anniversary of independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan on September 6, 2012.

Thanks to independence, our nation has been able to revive its honor, pride, spiritual and national values. The memory of hundreds of fellow countrymen and women repressed in different periods of colonial rule has been perpetuated. The noble efforts on this front have been consistent.
