On August 11-13, 2011, the Committee on the Issues of Defense and Security of the Legislative Chamber in cooperation with the Republican Military Prosecutor\'s Office held for young professionals, serving in the military prosecution authorities, scientific-practical seminar on “Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan - the guarantor of stable development”. It was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Defense and Emergency Situations, the staff of the General Prosecutor of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Military Prosecutor\'s Office, experts from the Republican Center of Forensic examination named after Kh.Suleimanova, professors of the Tashkent State Law Institute, as well as members of the mass media.

A photo exhibition dedicated to Uzbekistan`s 20th independence anniversary has opened its doors in New York City. Organized by the Fund Forum Representative Office in the USA, the General Consulate of Uzbekistan in New York and the Bukharian Jewish Congress, the exhibition features colorful photos by artist R. Iskhakov reflecting Uzbekistan`s unique nature and historical and cultural legacy as well as its development over the years of independence.
