John Liu, New York City Comptroller: “It`s a huge honor for me to attend the opening ceremony of this remarkable exhibition dedicated to Uzbekistan. Looking at the photos on display, it becomes obvious that Uzbekistan is a country with an ancient history, rich culture and diverse traditions. Also, the country has made significant steps in its development over the past 20 years, creating conditions for dynamic development and economic growth.” T. Stavisky, New York City Council member: “I`m very happy to be here. I have never been to Uzbekistan, but I looked around at the photos and I feel how beautiful your country is and how majestic the ancient architectural sites are. This also means you have a rich culture. I also know that Uzbekistan is a country where people of various nationalities co-exist peacefully and respect each other, and this is very important. I will certainly visit Uzbekistan in the near future.”
