THE HEAD OF THE OFFICE OF WHO: UZBEKISTAN HAS ACHIEVED SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS IN THE FIELD OF HEALTHCARE
On the eve of the anniversary of the state independence of our country the head of the World Health Organization in Uzbekistan Dr. Asmus Hammerich gave an interview to the information agency \"Jahon\" in which he shared his views on the achievements and the modern development of the country.
- First of all, taking advantage of this opportunity, I would like to express my warmest congratulations and best wishes to the people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of 24th anniversary of Independence.
Adopted in 2015, the State program \"Year of attention and care for the older generation,\" proposed by the initiative of the Head of State deserves respect. I am particularly pleased that this program pays considerable attention to the health of the elderly. Strengthening the capacity of health institutions in the field of early diagnosis and timely treatment, including diseases associated with old age, as well as the implementation of a set of measures to prevent non-communicable diseases contribute to the effective implementation of this program.
In recent years your country has done considerable progress in the field of health. One of these achievements is the effectiveness of efforts to protect motherhood and childhood, the further improvement of reproductive health. Uzbekistan has formed an effective mechanism for the upbringing of harmoniously developed generation and that is worth of attention.
The republic received strong and consistent measures for the prevention of acute infectious diseases. It pays a special attention to providing with essential vaccines in full.
During the years of sovereign development the country has achieved high goals in the socio-political and socio-economic spheres, that is the key to prosperity for future generations. The experience of Uzbekistan on implementation of socially-oriented policy is worthy of special attention.
