The harmonious relation between state and society is developing even more intensively this year, named in Uzbekistan as the Year of Family, since our nation has always been paying great attention to the family and its welfare.

Improvement of maternal and child health, and of family in general, in accordance with the Healthy Mother - Healthy Child principle, is one of the priorities inherent in the current national program of the Year of Family.

The Constitution stipulates that the family is the basic unit of society and is entitled to the protection of society and the state. As a result of the ongoing consistent efforts in the field of socioeconomic and legal support for the family, this aspect finds its reflection in life.

Large scale work is being conducted in the territories of the Central, Northern, Southern mining departments of Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine, located in the cities of Zarafshan, Uchkuduk, Nurabad, Zarmitan, Marjonbulok on the development of underground resources, improve the infrastructure of cities and districts, building of a comfortable, beautiful and modern houses, cultural and welfare facilities. A special attention at the company is paid to training of qualified personnel, improve working and living conditions and support of young families.

A special week under the slogan “Attention and care for every child!” is being held in Uzbekistan. Its organizers are the Public Children’s Fund Sen yolgiz emassan (You are not alone), Foundation of Soglom avlod uchun (For the healthy generation) Ministries of Education, Cultural Affairs and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Uzbek Academy of Arts and the Association to support children and families.

The Government of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution “On additional measures on ensuring social support of young families”. The document said that Uzbekistan pays great attention to development of family institute, including to legal, economic and social support of young families.
