COOPERATION WITHIN THE ILO

The training centre of the Council of Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan with technical support of ILO Subregional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia hosted a seminar on the training of union coaches able to develop and carry out practical trainings. It was attended by about 40 representatives of trade unions and territorial associations of trade union organizations.
The seminarís purpose is training of responsible professionals, coaches who will continue to provide training and retraining of trade union leaders and activists of primary organizations. The seminar discussed the possibilities of social partnership, the importance of drawing up collective and sectoral agreements, and others.
- Seminar will promote the establishment of schools for training trade union staff - said the chief specialist of the Republican council of trade union of transport, road and capital construction, the construction industry workers of Uzbekistan Azimjon Mirzajonov. - During training, students not only acquire knowledge and the ability to pass them, but are determined by experts owning modern and active teaching methods. By getting acquainted with international experience, we see that Uzbekistan exceeds international standards in many areas with guaranteeing citizensí rights to decent working conditions.
