“THE CONSTITUTION OF UZBEKISTAN IS A MODERN REFLECTION OF CENTURIES-OLD UZBEK STATEHOOD”
The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Malaysia held a solemn event dedicated to the 23 anniversary of our country’s Constitution.
The meeting was attended by representatives of public, political and business communities of Malaysia, such institutions as Lincoln University College, Binary University of Management & Entrepreneurship, UCSI University, as well as local media.
Following the event, some of the participants have shared their opinions and assessment of Uzbekistan’s current development in an interview with “Jahon” Information Agency.
Kohilan Pilay, Adviser to the Prime Minister of Malaysia on Cooperation with Central Asian countries:
- Today, durable and time-tested the Uzbek-Malaysian relations continue to develop dynamically.
In the framework of cooperation, our delegation has participated in the International Investment Forum, held in November in Tashkent. We have seen once again that Uzbekistan has created a favorable business climate. During the visit to one of the companies in the capital of your country, it was decided to establish joint production of lubricating oil that will be exported to neighboring countries.
I take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the conditions, created enabling to develop cooperation, mutual trade and industrial cooperation, as well as for the support of foreign investors.
Max Say, Vice President of the Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute:
- The Constitution of Uzbekistan is a strong legal basis for the building of an independent country. It has become a modern reflection of the centuries-old Uzbek statehood.
I have repeatedly visited your republic and each time I have marveled its rapid development, the scale of construction in cities and villages. This is a clear result of constructive work of the Uzbek people, and far-sighted policy of President Islam Karimov, aimed at preserving the great history of the country and improving the population’s welfare.
Pramesh Turaysingam, Executive Director of Xing Group Berhad Company:
- Uzbekistan is one of the best countries for investment. We plan to invest in a project to build a solar power plant of 20 MW, as well as additionally fund other promising areas.
Your republic has a favorable geographical location, which gives the opportunity to enter the markets of all countries in the region. It is one of the most important factors for further economic progress of Uzbekistan.
