“THE CONSTITUTION OF UZBEKISTAN IS BASED ON THE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES OF DEMOCRACY”
The speech of the President Islam Karimov at the solemn meeting, devoted to the 23 anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, has caused widespread interest in Kyrgyzstan’s expert circles.

In particular, General Director of Svoboda.kg Information and Analytical Agency Dooronbek Adahanov in an interview with “Jahon” Information Agency shared his opinion and assessments on the role of the Constitution in the country’s modern development.

-The Uzbek people celebrate one of the most important national holidays, Constitution Day on December 8. The important document was adopted on the basis of international law, the basic principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the UN regulations. The Main Law of Uzbekistan is based on the fundamental principles of democracy.

The essence of the Constitution is the priority of human rights to life, free labor, will and inviolability of private property. No coincidence that President Islam Karimov congratulated his countrymen on this significant occasion and noted the key role of the Constitution that defined the most important principles, goals, objectives and standards of the state and society.

Many achievements of the republic in different areas show that this crucial document, adopted 23 years ago, really contributed to create the foundations of a strong government and civil society, proved strong independence and strength of Uzbekistan and the nation, has retained its prestige in the international arena.

We can only wish the Main Law continue to play constructive role in the destiny of your country.
