GREETINGS FROM UNITED KINGDOM
On the occasion of the 23 anniversary of the Constitution of our country, congratulations of foreign countries’ business circles’ representatives to the address of the Uzbek people keep coming.
In particular, Director of Lintelligent Ltd British company, Evelyn Fischer gave an interview to “Jahon” Information Agency and shared her opinion regarding the ongoing socio-economic reforms and the role of the Constitution in their maintenance.
- The successes of Uzbekistan during the year of independence and especially in the last period are impressive. One of the examples is the construction of high-speed railway linking the main cities of the country.
Due to a balanced, well thought-out policy, the country managed to maintain the stability, peace and tranquility, achieve dynamic economic development. I would particularly like to note the creation of modern, high-tech industries and attracting world-class large companies as strategic investors.
It is obvious that the results achieved in the modernization of the country are based on the targeted and consistent implementation of reforms in order to create conditions for development of small business and private entrepreneurship, provide guarantees for investors. Proof of it is the fact that over the past five years the country has created 5 million workplaces.
But the main task of all reforms carried out in Uzbekistan, is to build a democratic state and strong civil society, which guarantee respect for rights, freedoms and interests. The country’s constitution plays an essential role in its achievement.
We appreciate the government concern for the elderly and the young. It is also encouraging that proper attention is paid to such important social areas as maternal and child health. Personally, for myself, I highlighted the words of President Islam Karimov on the need to further strengthen the attention of expectant mothers, that girls should get an education and a profession, be prepared for the conscious creation of strong, healthy families and the education of worthy generation.
In conclusion, I want to express my deep respect for the people of Uzbekistan and congratulate all citizens of the 23-anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic!
