Committees of Legislative Chamber hold events dedicated to adoption of Constitution of Uzbekistan
In anticipation of the adoption of the basic law of our country - the Constitution of Uzbekistan, the committees of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan hosted events dedicated to this holiday.
In particular, the Committee on Legislation and Judicial Affairs held a \"round table\" on the theme \"The Constitution - the legal framework of democratic reforms\".
It was attended by MPs, legal scholars, representatives of courts and law enforcement agencies, a number of ministries and departments, higher education institutions and public organizations.
The participants noted that the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan has established a solid foundation for building a democratic state, the formation of a market economy, civil society, which provided the interests, rights and freedoms, the rule of law and equality of all citizens before it.
The event highlighted that an important part of democratic reforms is the implementation of the constitutional principle of separation of powers, the implementation of effective mechanisms of balances. The Constitution of Uzbekistan made amendments to optimize the distribution of powers between the main subjects of the government - the president, parliament, government and courts.
Constitutional reforms, adopted laws will significantly strengthen the role and importance of the Oliy Majlis in the system of public authorities, empowering the legislature in the formulation and implementation of domestic and foreign policy. This, along with the improvement of the legislative process, is the improvement of the quality of laws. The participation of fractions of political parties significantly expands in this process.
During the event, attention was paid to the discussion of issues such as ensuring the supremacy of the principles established in the Constitution, further deepening of democratic reforms through strengthening the effectiveness adopted on its basis of laws aimed at strengthening the country\'s development and well-being of society, promoting the participation of citizens and the public in the process.
